JSC Tihvin Assembly Plant receives IRIS certificate

According to the audit data, the maturity level was 60%, which confirms the effectiveness of the business management system of Titran-Express. Apart from the IRIS certificate, the company obtained the certificate of conformity with the requirements of international ISO 9001:2015 and interstate GOST ISO 9001-2011 standards. The audit was conducted by the Russian branch DQS Holding GmbH – the international certification body.

Mikhail Zalunaev, CEO at the Russian branch of DQS certification body, said: “The management system of Titran-Express has shown high results of work. It is obvious that an ongoing development of management and production processes is vital for the company; this understanding will help improve quality of work, enhance work efficiency and lay foundation for effective relations with customers”.

International Railway Industry Standard was developed at the initiative of the European Rail Industry Association based on standards ISO 9000 series. The standard determines requirements to the manufacturers of railway equipment and suppliers of components for railway industry enterprises. The introduction of IRIS standard allows to reduce expenses throughout the whole product life cycle and to boost competitive ability of manufacturers. Currently more than 90 enterprises, situated on the territory of the CIS countries, have been certified according to IRIS standard.
